How Dad Responds to Things Kids Say
Bill Cosby and Art Linkletter both used to host a show called Kids Say the Darndest Things. Parents live in this show every day, and it's hard to know what to do or how to react to some of the wacky situations that come up.
Here's a few examples of how Dad responds to things kids say:
Toddler learning how to talk repeats, "Sh@t! F#(k! Sh@t!," while walking through the aisles at Wal-Mart.
Dad says, "What has you're mother been teaching you?"
Teenager says, "But Dad, all of my friends have a cell phone with unlimited text messaging."
Dad says, "You can have unlimited text messaging - go outside and get two sticks and bang them together. LOL!"
Four-year-old asks, "Why don't you shave all your hair off your body like Mommy?"
Dad says, "Because Daddy likes to sleep in just his undies, so he needs something to keep him warm."
Pre-teen says, "How much money does a blow job pay?" after coming home from the first day of Middle School.
Dad flips out and says, "That's it - we're starting a home school program."
Three-year-old prays at dinner, "God is good. God is great. Let us thank him for the plate...and Mommy and Daddy too. Amen."
Dad says, "Good job buddy!" and smiles while appreciating his innocence.
Kids do ask and say the darndest things, and most Dads enjoy the humor in all of them. Appreciate the funny things they say now before they come home one day and drop a bomb on you.
